Week 14

Oh man there are so many different things to marketing that has to be considered, way more than I ever thought. Price skimming, penetration, status quo is what I will remember from tonight, they all seem to make sense to me and you can see how companies use it. I messed up bad on the quiz for this week, :( I am so sad about that... I know I am happy when I get a good deal on something... I gotta say Prof Allen, I enjoyed this class. It freaked some of us out to have to have facebook, twitter, Linkedin, but it was good to have to learn it. They are used a lot and I have now learned to use them. I will leave this class with more knowledge that I came in with. GOOD Thank you Prof Allen...

Well at the last minute I couldn't come to class. My daughter-in-law went into early labor so since I am the closest grandma I had to watch the girls so they could go to the hospital to get the contractions stopped. The baby is due June 1, so it wouldn't have been really early but still better to keep little Zak safe with his momma for a while longer. The contractions stopped for now. He weighs 5lbs 6 oz right now, so hopefully if he decides it is too tight in there and pops into the world soon he will be ok.

Week 12

I remember buying Van's shoes for my kids who thought they needed the cool shoes. The teenagers want what is in style. I think people who do advertising or create the ads have a very creative mind. I remember the earliest I can recollect any type of advertising was watching Bewitched when I was a kid and Darin Stevens always was worrying about his next ad he was trying to come up with. Kind of funny I think.
I usually don't ever click on ads on Facebook. I see them but I don't want them to track back to me. I tried a MySpace account but guess I was one of the Too old people for keeping up with that. Facebook is more my style. I love finding more people I haven't seen for a long time. It is interesting how fast Facebook took off from the beginning. They got big in a short amount of time... Go FACEBOOK :)

Week 11

I am still just amazed at everything that goes into selling, promoting and marketing products. I didn't know that blogging was used like it is in marketing. I guess I just never went to one for a business. I agree whatever is being said needs to come across the way they want it to be perceived.
